Golden Falcon Marching Band, Florida Trip

We recently just returned from a trip to Disney with Gene's marching band. The weather was cool and it rained on and off, but I did manage to bring my camera out one of the days we were there. Linhsey is a Gryffindor student now at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry . I think she would have slept in this uniform if I let her. She got so much attention in it everywhere we went that I think she believes she is famous now. The candy shop in Diagon Alley... We bought the jelly beans and she ate the earwax one...and a chocolate frog. The talking paintings in Hogwarts.Minutes before her brother's parade started..She's playing the piano with her fingers there. She does it everywhere now. Truffula trees! She followed along and took videos...

Hopefully the kids will do it all again in 2 years... I know they had a great time!

On Sunday my little cousin had a baby shower. Okay, so she's 24 and not really little anymore, but she'll always be called "my little cousin" by me.

Does she not have the cutest baby bump?!

Did I mention she is due next month?

Every Mommy needs a bottle of "Mommy's Time Out" !The littles hijacked her gifts and opened them for her. But I guess she should get used to little ones taking over, right?

I can't wait for her to be born so I can take her picture!

Congrats Rach! We love you!

Last week Charlie gave us a scare. We dropped her off at the vet to be spayed, but before they could begin the procedure she had a bad reaction to the sedative that was given to her. They couldn't perform the surgery and sleepy girl had to stay there for close to 7 hours to sleep it off and be monitored. Have I told you how much we love this little girl dog?

First let me start by telling you that L and I have this weird obsession with making up songs to the tune of other songs. Charlie has many songs.

Sung to the tune of "Oh My Darling Clementine".

"Charlie Barley. Charlie Barley. Oh my darling Charlie-tine!"

I'm not kidding. We sing it at least 10X a day to Charlie, AKA the "Charlster", "C-Dog", "CD".

The other song we sing to the C-dog is sung to the tune of "Mamcita Donde Esta Santa Claus?".

  " Charlie-cita! Donde esta Charlie-Claus?"

I'm serious.

I have no idea why we do this, or why that stinkin Xmas song is still stuck in our heads from November and December.

And last but not least, when we sing " Who let the dogs out?" Charlie inserts the appropriate barks after.

I'm serious!
